Gav's teeth are turning transulcent now. Guess that's better than brown. Wonder where it will stop? He's starting to tell us when he has a poopy diaper. Mama I have poopy. I say Really? to which he yells NO and runs away shyly!

Gavin is surprising us with his ability to change so readily to a new school. We had all of last week planned out where it would be a transition week of gradually pulling them out of Kindercare and taking them to Deanie's with the goal being they spend their first full day with her on Friday. But, as often happens when you make a plan, it was shot when Gavin and Tyler both woke up barfing and diarreahing on the weekend. Tyler got over his within 12 hours but Gavin's ended up lasting for seven days. We even tested him for giardia when Gramma fessed up that she let them drink from her irrigation water, but the test was negative thankfully. I say it all worked out in the end because Tyler, who is our sensitive one, started Deanie's full time last Tuesday and she was able to give him a whole lot of love and support during his transition. So, this Monday when Gavin started at the new school with big brother Tyler leading the way to the door, he was just going with the flow and has had no problems at all with the adjustment. Yay kids!

Little man's damaged teeth are turning brown. We noticed it first a few days ago, very light brown. Now it seems to be turning faster. The front tooth looks like it's heading to the gray direction whereas the back tooth may be brown. Even though the dentist said it's not an option, I'm already figuring out how to finance cosmetic repair because it's going to be a long few years before those teeth fall out.

Gavin had a wonderfully wiggly birthday. We went to Funderland with Gramma, Papa Curt, Paige, Gregg and Grace, Mack and his dad. We rode the car, the train, the tea cups, the log ride--which Gavin got carded on but Gramma fudged by a day and said he was two--the carousel and more! This was a fun, jam packed morning of excitement. Then we went across to Land Park for some lunch, cake and presents. Every present Gavin opened was so entertaining to everyone. Mack and Tyler helped him rip the paper off, Gracie got right in the action, and Gavin would declare "Wiggles" or "Elmo" or whatever it was he got. As much as Tyler's second birthday was all about Elmo, Gavin's second was all about the Wiggles. He scored two different Wiggles Guitars, several books, coloring books and markers, adorable clothes, a sleeping bag, puzzles, blocks and more! He also sang right along with us as we sang Happy Birthday to you!

The next day, he started school in the twos classroom like such a big boy! Suddenly he doesn't even give his old classroom or teachers the time of day. Makes me feel bad since these are the same two teachers that raised Tyler since he was a baby. But, Gavin is a big boy now and proud of it!
