The boys went bowling for their first time at Eli's birthday party. The LOVED it. Not only the bowling, but the entire bowling alley experience. As soon as we walked in, groovy kids music was blasting, black lights had the place glowing, and the place was hopping with kids. Gavin was in heaven. Once we put the bowling shoes on him and he stepped onto the slick alley floor, the boys danced his butt off. It was three hours of pure fun. Dancing, laughing, bowling, birthday cake, everything was new and so fun at this place. Gavin discovered tht he fit perfectly cradled in the contraption that holds and returns the bowling balls. He lay down on it like it was a bed made for him, not rock hard nine pound balls. This place actually measured the speed of the balls on each kid's turn. Tyler and most kids' balls went 4.5 to 5 m.p.h. Gavin's went 1.3 m.p.h. until we found this launch ramp for the kids to set their ball on top of and launch it off. Between the bumpers in the gutters, the launch ramp, and the fun kid's music, bowling is the new kid-friendly sport.
